Hi,

I would like to ask to all of you, Is it possible for me to apply for a PR even if I'm not gonna finish my 5 years visa as EEA family member(unmarried partners)

I already been in UK for almost 6 years

2 and half years as student visa Tier 4
3 years visa as skilled worker Tier 2
April 2013 I got my EEA 2 RC, can I apply for PR not finishing my Rc?

All answer will be appreciated.
Thanks!

In about 4 years you can apply for ILR based on 10 years.

Hi jambo,

Cheers for the response. What you mean based on on 10 years?

As far as I know, as long as you've been in UK for continues 5 years in qualify visa category you have the rights to apply for PR?

Im confused, and not sure if my eea will be counted. I am sure if I have my tier 2 visa continous for 5 years defo I can apply.
thanks

There is also a route for ILR based on 10 years lawful residence (long residence). It is mainly used by people who have been on student visas (or mix of visas) as this type of visa doesn't lead to ILR after 5 years.

You can also qualify for PR under the EEA route 5 years after the issue of your RC. You can't combine time before the RC because for unmarried partners, the clock for PR starts when the RC is issued.
