Please advise: Typo in the name on the COA

Hi,

I need some help. The Home Office returned the certificate of application with a typo in the first letter of the first name of my spouse. Also there is no mention of her right to work when I'm fully employed in the UK with a very good salary.

We tried to call the number supplied on the UKBA website but we do not get through anyone.

What process should we follow, i.e. who should we write to and what form should we send, to get the name corrected and have the COA to state her right to work? We are obviously concerned that they will issue the residency card with the wrong first name! :?

Also, can we ask for our passports back now or should we wait for a new COA?

Many thanks for your help.

You can continue to phone, send an email or write a letter (send recorded delivery). You should ask for the mistake to be corrected. You should ask why right to work was not confirmed in the letter.

You can ask for passports back whenever you wish.
