Hello Guys,
I am an EEA national and I have been reading this forum and i decided to register today. We contacted Margie Clarke and she said the 'decision was dispatched via 2nd class post at the end of last month(August)' and we should be receiving it shortly.
1. My question is how long does 2nd class posts take to reach its destination?
2. Can 2nd class posts contain successful outcomes? Why not first class recorded deliveries but 2nd class post?
I hope the docs reach us safely...
Thanks.

Thanks Sheraz7
If it takes 2-3 days then it looks like ours has taken 11-12 days

I believe it takes another 1-2 weeks from the moment the HO change the status to "despatched" until it actually in the hands of Royal Mail (which will add another 2-3 days). Not sure what the HO is doing during that time (maybe printing the letters and putting them into envelopes. Who knows) but it takes more than 2-3 days.

UKBA case processing unit and dispatch unit are both different department that is the reason of delay to certain degree otherwise a normal 2nd class royal mail post within UK takes 2-3 days.

OK. I got a reply from the '
nationalityprogress@homeoffice.gov....' email and the message goes contrary to what i received from Margie Clark.
The person from the nationality progress office at Sheffield also told me they had checked and they could confirm the application was yet to be decided. They could also not tell me why its gone beyond the 6 month duration...
Two conflicting infos
