Dunkirk or Calais to Dover ?

Hi all,

We had planned to travel from Calais to Dover and have mistakenly booked Dunkirk to Dover.

The price was the same, and as the 2 sailings were right next to each other, I stupidly clicked Dunkirk as the departure instead of Calais.

Any way, when we depart France, we are all ready to request from the UKBA a "A1" passport stamp for my NON-EU spouse, by using the Surinder Singh route to UK.

My question is,------ Do Dunkirk have the same level of experience within their UKBA officials as Calais have?
Are we likely to make things a little more difficult for ourselves, bt departing Dunkirk, as opposed to departing from Calais?

GW.

You can probably call DFDS and ask to switch. I don't think they will charge for it.

Calais is bigger than Dunkirk (just because there are more sailings from there). I suspect it is the same staff that rotates between the two although Calais might have a senior manager on site. Having said that you don't need a senior person. Just someone who is familiar with Surinder Singh.

I know I didn't really answered your question but I suspect you will be fine either port you choose.
