tell us your immigration history ,,,

normally NO but because of that obviously authorities will scrutinise your application. You must have strong case ( need to show lots of proof thats this is a genuine relationship )

If you truly in genuine relationship then you have nothing to worry. Even if anything happen you can fight

Here's an example of someone that had be previously removed and still here. So you create a case for yourself, defend it with as much evidences as possible and all should be well. Always learn to seek advice before taking that step rather than to mess things up and then start seeking help. All the best mate

Thank you all for your wonderful responses.
This is about a friend of mine,He has five years visiting visa to the Uk which will expire in 2016, but in his last visit to the UK, he spent one year instead of six months, though got married in the Uk within this period he was in the UK to an EU Citizen and their marriage is blessed with a son. Now he has residence card from his wife country, and planning to visit the Uk with the wife and son,but this time he do not want to visit UK as a general visitor, but as an EU family member, meaning he must apply for the EEA family permit.

His question is, will he be refused visa based on the above circumstance that he stayed for one year instead of six months? because in the application form VAF5 Part6.1 asked: HAVE YOU TRAVELED TO THE UK IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, IF YES PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS OF ANY TRIPS TO THE UK. SO YOU HAVE DATES,DESTINATION PURPOSE AND DURATION.

It is from this that I asked the aboved question on his behalf as he is about to make application,if previous immigration will affect any eea fp

As explained above your friends application may delay but not refuse.
