Pls guys, Moderators / Gurus join me to give an advice to a friend, she is ready to apply for ROR after divorce with his ex hubby, all the necessary documents are all available during and termination of divorce.

Question is...

1.Both partner still leaves in same address, ( pls will this affect the ROR App )

2. Solicitor/lawyer is too expensive, (she said ) pls can she submit on her own, reason is bcos her old passport has expired a month ago and she then include her drivers licence in the App and old Rc still valid too, but was thinking giving the App to lawyer will be an advantage

3. Pls is lawyers an advanttage in Application, ie does HO respect Lawyers more?

she was claiming child benefit for her child but from different man, not the child of the EEA hubby, i have advice her that she is free to claim benefit, pls correct me if i am wrong.

Pls guys help me with those two questions above, thanks for ur precious time

1. HO doesnt accept expired passport, so she should have her passport renewed before making any application.

2. Hiring a good lawyer is an advantage, but if she have all the necessary documents and can put together a decent cover letter then she may not need a lawyer.
