EU Immigration 'Could Be Capped At 75,000

A leaked government report has shown the Home Office is considering capping immigration from EU countries at 75,000 and blocking newcomers from claiming benefits or tax credits for their five five years.
The proposals would mean professionals and highly-skilled migrants from countries such as Germany, Holland or Austria could only move to the UK if they had a job offer
Lower-skilled workers would be allowed to settle if they had jobs on an approved list of occupations for which there was a national shortage.

Unless UK leaves the EU, this will not happen.
Even the tories realises that in any renegotiation, this is something they will never get.

They are just making fool of themselves. The British people already know that this is just another bunch of lies. They want to score a political point with something that is not possible. Nick has just throw it on their face

It was withdrawn in the height and face of discrimination which is what it is. It was a case study for the human rights activists so the UK gov had to withdraw it......lol
Can you imagine, just one day and the page has been withdrawn. Pls tell us more about it

measures already announced include cutting off benefits after six months for EU jobseekers with no employment prospect and stopping them from making housing benefit claims.
The Government is also toughening the so-called ‘habitual residence test’ to include a minimum earnings threshold, to check whether migrants are in proper employment.
There will also be a 12-month re-entry ban for people who have been removed for not working or being self-sufficient, and £20,000 fines for businesses found to be undercutting British workers by paying migrants less than the national minimum wage.
emergency regulations to take effect from January 1
