Hi all,

I am totally new here. I have been working on a full time permanent job in the Sweden to exercise the EU treaty rights since two months ago. Ultimately I want to bring my non EU parents to live with me in the UK via SS route.

My Parents are currently staying in the UK holding the visitor visa. They are staying with my partner and child in the UK and in the house owned by my partner and me.We cover all their costs in the UK. I am staying in a rented apartment in the Sweden and go back to the UK to see my family for one weekend every month. I intend to start to apply for EEA2 permit for my parents while they are in the UK (within 6 months of their stay) and work in the Sweden till we get the finale result.

Can anybody with the relevant experience advise if my case will likely be successful or not especially under the new rule?

Sorry my question may sound a bit naive. All advices and suggestions are very welcome!

Many thanks!

Well, there have been certain amendments in SS route.
BUT,
one of the basic eligibility requirements is that,
You must work in the host member state; either employed or self-employed.
You must reside with your Non EU family member in said member state.
(That means your parents HAVE to live with you in Sweden when you are exercising treaty rights)

Therefore, you wont be considered eligible in the first place.

To qualify for Surinder Singh they would require to live with you in Sweden together with you. Not to stay in the UK.
