Hello fellow board members.

I'd like to ask if is it possible to use the Premkun 1 day service for a ILR if you are family member of a EU citizen ( married).

It doesn't mention it on the UKBA website; i urgently need to apply for it but i want to be sure it all be ok as its quite dear to pay the fee.

Many thanks

Gary

If your partner is here under EU regulations, there is no premium service for PR (not ILR), so postal only.

Have a look at the FAQs under Permanent Residence

if you been living here 10 years then you can apply for ILR but post only otherwise PR still post only ( they will decide within 6 months )

ILR : under UK law

PR : under EU law

PR is the route under EU regulations
ILR is the route under UK Immigration

You cannot switch between the two routes. You can only apply for ILR if you have used the UK immigration rules, ie work permits, British spouse visa, long residency, etc.

You will have to apply under the EU rules for PR and that is postal only.

It is possible to travel abroad with an expired residence document. You could apply for a family permit (visa) abroad in order to return. While this might not be particularly convenient, it would be an option.
