Travelling While getting a divorce EE2

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on the subject, i have been married to my partner for more than 3 years, sept 2010 and we decided to get divorced, the petition was signed and send back to court about 2 weeks ago, so we are in the middle of the divorce procedures, i am going to apply for the right to stay in the country and i have all the sufficient documentation to show that he has excersised his treaty rights for as long as we have been married.

My main question now is, i want to travel to the states on a holiday for 5 days and i was wondering how this will effect me while i am busy with the divorce or it could possibly be dealt with by then. Will i have a problem getting back in to the UK?

Does the UKBA get notified automatically or can i just do my normal smile and be polite to the border control people?

Regards
WM

You are considered Married until decree absolute is pronounced. Therefore i do not see why you would not be allow back in the country. On top of that unless you tell the officer you are going through divorce, he would not know. if ask, just tell them the hubby is in the uk and you are coming back from your holiday. Sometimes retention of information is the best policy to adopt if not asked about it :D .
