Hi guys,

I have just filled in the EEA2 application form and these are the documents that I have included:

2 Passports (Non-EU and EU)
1 Marriage Certificate
3 Employment documents (1 payslip, 1 employment contract, 1 confirmation letter)

Any more documents that I need/should include?

I've not included any bank statements, utility bills, joint accounts, photos, etc.

Thanks!

Your documents prove that
You are married.
EEA national is a qualified person.

But
Your documents won't showing that you are living together.....

So attach utility bills or bank statements to show that you are living together.

Hi Imshzd,

Thanks for your response.

Is providing the proof for living together as a married couple a requirement in the EEA2 application?

This is what it says under SECTION 12 DOCUMENTS:
As evidence of current residence in the UK by you and your family members:
Proof of residence: this can include tenancy agreements, utility bills and bank statements. For
children this could include letters from their school.
The question is: Is the above applicable to EVERY EEA2 applicant?

Unfortunately, I couldn't locate an explicit text on in the European Caseworkers instructions (Residence Card application).

Ps: We do not have utility bills or bank statements in joint names, will other letters (library, jobcentre, GP) that are addressed to the non-EEA applicant do the job?

There is no legal requirement to prove residence (and not common residence). However the HO do ask for evidence you are current a resident in the UK (any utility bill will do. Doesn't need to be joint).

Hi Jambo,

Thanks for your input.

The non-EU applicant doesn't have any utility bill on her name.. what about these documents:

Jobcentre JSA Letters
GP/NHS Letters
Library Card & Letter
Full Baby Birth Certificate (less than a month old)

I would go for an official letter so not your library card but JSA letter.

Okay will do!

Just to be on the safe side I will include the following:

1. The official JSA letters
2. NHS/GP/Hospital letters + Birth Certificate of the baby

One last question: does a married non-EU need to show that they are "financially dependent" on the EU national for the RC? Will a simple cover letter do?
