EEA1 and EEA2 application addresses different

Hi there

If someone were to apply for EEA1 using X address and then his partner applied for EEA2 using Y address (a different rental address with his non-EEA partner; proof of address could be the rental contract), would the Home Office think it was strange?

One of my friends wants to do this. He has already entered the UK (he's Greek) and his wife will come after a month when he gets a job etc. He first of all wants to use a friend's address where he will be staying for a while. When his wife gets there, they will rent an apartment. He really wants to get the EEA1 so that he can be more confident about the EEA2 application.

Does anyone know how to book an appointment for EEA1 at PEC in Croydon? We can't find a link anywhere! I know that there are only 7 appointments per day and he'd like to get one as soon as he can.

Thanks a lot
C

Do you mean PEO? Public enquiry offices (PEOs) are now called premium service centres.

Yeah, that's the one. They used to be called PEOs but I guess that's changed.

It seems that the EEA1 face to face application also just costs 55GBP so that's good news.

Thanks!

Thanks Toofan. That's what I was thinking....she's not here yet so it makes sense for them to rent when she gets here.

Thx

Another quick question on behalf of this friend. He's Greek, just moved to Belfast and will be joined by his Chinese wife after a few weeks.

He has been offered a full-time temporary job in an office. It's only for about 4 months with no guarantee of becoming permanent. If he were to take this job and then apply for EEA1 would he be rejected? It seems that many jobs these days are temporary contracts and he's a bit worried that taking a temp job would influence his wife's right to stay in the UK.

I've read that it shouldn't matter but that the Home Office might give a residence card for 1 year initially and then require that you apply again if the spouse is still exercising treaty rights. Is that correct?

Anyone heard of this 1 year RC for family members of EEA citizens on short-term contracts?
