I wonder why EU nationals shouldnt apply british citizenship even they have been exercising treaty rights for 8 years ? should they just stop at Permanent residence or go for British nationality ? will there be any de-merits ?

what would be the scenario if Eu national applies British Citizenship while her non eu spouse is still on 2nd year on Residence Card status ?

e.g

EU national gets British Citizenship, Spouse who is non-eea finishes his course of 5 years residency after 2 years of Eu national becoming UK Citizen ! what would be the future of non eea spouse ? will he get ILR or PR ? and will he need to show or his Spouse need to fulfil 18600 requirment ?

Guide me please torch bearers before I made my spouse to apply for British nationality and get my life f......... :D Help please Gentleman and Ladies.

Why would you think they should apply for BC? It's more an emotional decision than a benefit one (apart from participating in the General Elections).

As long as the EEA national keeps him EEA nationality, the non EEA national can continue to remain on the EEA route. However, once the EEA national becomes British he can't sponsor new applicants on the EEA route (to bring parents for example).
