I would appreciate your advice I am absolutely clueless !
I am in the UK on a student visitor visa, my partner happens to have French nationality and British citizenship at the same time. We are planning to get married and want to know what is the easiest option for us? She is studying and working at the same time.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

You may not be able to qualify under the EEA regulation, due to his british citizenship, unless he has lived in another member state.

RE: Marriage - it doesn't matter if she is a dual national or not.
RE: Getting you a visa/residency:
1. Surinder Singh - live in another EEA country for a while (undefined time) and apply for an EEA Family Permit and go back to the UK.
2. Renounce British citizenship - this works at the minute but not everyone is willing to do this. Renounce then apply under EEA laws.
3. UK spouse visa - financial requirements: a job with 18600GBP/year held for 6 months OR 62500GBP in savings held in the British citizen's name for 6 months.
You can search on line for more info. There are a lot of discussions on this forum as well!
Good luck

Thank you so much for the replies, I will discuss these options with my girl friend at least I know which options are available and I can now research each option on its own.
Many thanks
