EEA permit in EU for a spouse of British National.

Hi
im British national and my spouse is non EEA national.
we cant apply for a spouse visa due to minimum income rules i.e.18600.
Now we are planing to go into EU as i will be British citizen and my spouse will be on Schenghen visa.
could you please any one guide us that in which EU country my spouse (on schenghen visa) can get EEA permit quickly.in Spain we can get it but takes long to be issue.
any suggestions or experience please share with us.

Hi. You might want to check the new amendment of EEAFP (Surinder Singh), they add a new rule last January. As a british citizen married or in a durable relationship with a non eu national, you need to live in an eu country for quite a long time (or maybe not) as far as I understand, there is no minimum time but because they add something about the British moving his "center of his life" in a host member state you need to prove now that your life is in the chosen eu country.
I was really surprise when I found out because my husband is a british national and we are planning to apply for family permit on the end of this month, I already have everything I need but I found the news on this forum (thanks to the lovely people here) so I started to collect again. We worked and living in cyprus, my husband is cyprus resident since 2011 so they said that its a good thing because At least he already form his life in cyprus.
You can find the amendment in this forum, i will try to copy and paste it here. Wait for the experts here, they are really helpful.

But we are not interested in SS route.
looking to stay in EU country till get Law changed in UK.Might b in Ireland or France.

But you are a british national, you are under SS route.
I heard that Ireland is the easiest place you can apply but as I told you, they did add some rule were you need to prove that your life is in that place. They are trying to be strict because alot of British national moved to other eu country to bring the spouse after living there for some time.
