Hi.
Firstly i would like to thank all members if this forum for the great help they provide.

I am non EEA/EU married to EU national who is exercicing treaty right in the UK (employed Full time) since february 2011 , i currently hold EEA 2 valid till 2016.

The question is that we are planning to relocate and change job and we are worried about any empolyment gaps which may occur because of this and their effect on PR.

Do we have to get Comperhensive sickness insurance and register with job center as soon as my wife quits her current job?

Or we can show that we have savings to live on till getting another job plus getting a sickness insurance as well just to be on the safe side?

Help will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Simple way to get a private health insurance.
But
You can also exercise treaty rights as a job seeker if you fulfil the requirements.

Is it enough to register with job center as to be considered job seeker?

Is it enough to provide bank statement and comprehensive sickness insurance to be self sufficient? How much funds should we have in savings to be ok with the ukba rules?

Simply register with job centre plus is not enough.you have you prove this that you are seeking genuine work and there is a great chance that you will get a job.

There is no minimum requirement of funds, only think is that the EEA national and their dependents are not un reasonable burden on public funds.

Then as to be job seeker we have to print out all online applications my wife is submitting to apply for a vacancy?.hope that s enough?

We will buy a comprehensive sickness insurance just to be in safe side and keep our bank statment for later PR application.

I was just wondering if UKBA will consider 1 week gap as a problem in PR application?

Thx for help

One week gap or one month paid leave does not matter.
