Hello.

Quick question..

I am currently on sponsorship visa, being from Malaysia. I married my French Husband last week, and I would like to switch to a spouse visa. i earn more than 30k a year and my husband as well. We have been living together for 2 years, and are renting an apartment in London.

I am a bit confused about the visa/routes available.. can someone help?

1- Which visa/application shall I make?
2- What are the fees
3- How long if successful?
4- How long is the visa?
5- Can I still work during the application?

Many thanks,
W.

Since you are married to a qualified EU national family member (worker), therefore you can apply EEA2 RC and the form itself is a guide too. You no longer need tier 2 sponsorship now and can work now even before & after sending the eea2 application which normally be processed within 6 months. Upon submitting the application form, you will get COA confirming your right of work too.

Hi,

I will have to contact the Home Office, thank you very much for the information.

Though, are you sure I can start woking freely from now even if my visa is on sponsorship? Not sure about that.
