If your baby has your EEA nationality and the passport, you do not need any residence cards for her/him. If the baby only has a non-EEA nationality, you might have to get a 5-year residence card via EEA2 in order to facilitate travel. When you obtain your PR status after exercising EU Treaty rights continuously for 5 years, your baby will become eligible to become a British Citizen and you can register him/her as British by using the MN1 form.
