I really need an advice: I have got my PR in 2010 wanted to get my BC but unfortunately had an emergency an make a mistake driving a car on a provisional licence so fine ££££ and 6 points(precisaly before going to see my mum who was very ill in 2011 and one month before apply for BC so I have to wait 5 years before applying). Anyway. My situation is as follow:

I have got PR but I have been travelling to my Country in South America for six months every year since 2011 to look after my mum as I am the only person looking after her, I come back to UK every year and work for six months while paying somebody to stay with her, but I am not longer being able to carry on and cope with the timing situation for the BC as she is getting worst so I have decided to stay with her for the next future years giving up my BC by now . How this situation is going to affect my PR as my husband also abandone me as he could not cope with my situation. How can I apply for a PR extension in future or how to apply for BC as it is going to be impossible for me not to be out of the country for more than six months every year I have been trying but all this situation is making me also ill and stressed. My PR will expire in 2020. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I will be here till September as I promised her I will go back I do not want to bring her here as she is not well and climate is not good either.

I'm sure there are more qualified advisors here, but this is my little take on your situation.
It is sad that your mum is sick, if. I'd say work hard here save money and bring your mum here instead of this back and forth, going to see her. Since you have PR you can invite relatives here so long as u can prove that you can provide for them. Kind Regards.

Hi: thanks for your replay, but unfortunately she is not well to travel, plus she has got her pension and doctors in there. It is being difficult for me to handle this. I just want to know how I stand with my PR or BC at the moment, or any other suggestiones.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are outside the UK for 2 years continuously you will lose PR status. If you want to retain PR status, you must pay attention to this!

Hi : Thanks. So I will have to carry on travelling. Can I stay 10 months out? back and go again? Does anybody know how to reaply for PR again? as I will not be able to keep the 5 years before BC? What form to use? If I am on my own no husband but still married, how it is going to affect my application in 2020?

PR is forever so long as you are not absent for over 2 years. If I were you I'd fly back every 23 months, have yourself a holiday in the UK and keep proofs of it, and fly back out again, and then in 23 months return again and do the same thing.

Hi: thanks. I pressume that is what I will be doing, it is very expensive to come too often. In 2020 the sticker in my passport will expired. That is what I do not know how I will get a new one. I know it is too early to be worried about but I want to go in peace and just be worry about my mum. It will take a lot pressure from me.

Presumably you renew it with form EEA4. I don't know how else you would be able to renew it, unless someone else knows better. I guess you will have to prove that you've not been absent for over 2 years at any given time, so it's important you keep proofs of whenever you're back in the UK. If it were me, I would keep a UK bank account and card active and purchase everything with my card while I'm in the UK - this could be one proof of your return to the UK. Or UK hotel receipts if you'll be staying in hotels when you return.

Hi: Thank Rosebead, I will keep my account here and everything else bills etc. I will be checking the post see if somebody can share they're experience or comes with another opinion. Is depressing to have to go through all this. But I have got no other option.
