HI there,
I need some advice.
I'm EU national living in UK since 2005. Im currently trying to fill out an AN naturalisation application for a British Citizenship and I'm stuck.
Since 2008-2011 I studied at the university full time then I went straight to the employment.
However during my studies I had various part time jobs 3 part time jobs that didn't last longer than 2 month I haven't registered for WRS but other 2 part time jobs I did. My question is when Im applying for the naturalisation in points 2.4 and 2.5 shall I be putting only my studies (2008-2011) and FT work after that 2011-2014 and not mention the part time jobs at all or mention only the ones with WRS?
Any guidance would be much appreciated
Thanks

Not sure you will qualify for naturalisation.
When you were a student, did you have a CSI?
Did you complete a full 12 months on WRS, and if your did, when was this?
Did you apply for or was issued with a WRS after the 12 months period?

From 2006-2009 i was self employed - no need to register with WRS
from 2010-2011 - self employed again
from 2008-2011- FT university student, applied for WRS (2009) but did not work continuously for 12 months as I changed my employer twice and forgot register again with WRS as I worked firstly only 4 weeks and then 8weeks.
from 2011-2014- working FT no longer required to register with WRS
What is CSI?
so you recon Im not eligible to apply for naturalisation? on what basis?
I thought that being self-empolyed for 3 years would be counted towards treating my rights as EEA migrant and student status as well?
i think Im getting confused....

During your student years, you were required to hold a COmprehensive Sickness insurance, except of court you were issued a registration certificate, on the basis of your student status in before 2011.
What did you do from 2009-2010? there seem to be a break.

no I didint have CSI however I had an European health card issued from Poland that would allow me treatment in UK not sure how comprehensive that was,
from 2009-2010- I continued my studies, and I worked part time, applied for WRS (2009) but did not work continuously for 12 months as I changed my employer twice and forgot register again with WRS as I worked firstly only 4 weeks and then 8weeks.
would you be advising me that I shall wait another 2 years to apply for the naturalisation as this year Im not meeting the criteria?

How will naturalisation benefit you?

That is a very good question
I think I feel a pressure of the society, change in politics and wider local community that makes me want to apply for British citizenship so my status is confirmed. What if Uk votes to come out of EU how will that affect my status if not naturalised?
I'm not sure now I may wait and see....

Fair answer, just remember that it is much harder to rely upon EU treaty rights of free movement once you are British, particularly bringing a spouse or other family member to settle in the UK is easier with Polish nationality etc.
Best wishes and good luck with whatever you decide!
