Does it affect my EEA4 application???

Good evening to all.
I am applying for my EEA4 and there is a section in which i am supposed to enter the date and port of entry when i first came to the UK.
As it has been about 8 years ago and I have lost the passport with that first stamp, I no longer remember that date.
Would a letter explaining that I don't remember this information work as a justification?
Does anyone think that it may case me problem? I am sure i entered it my my EEa2 6 years ago.
I am new to this forum so I would appreciate any advise.
Many Thanks.

you can request SAR (subject access request) file from ukba which contains all immigration record including the date when you first time arrived but it takes a time to process. Otherwise you can try to search e-ticket/boarding pass or may try to contact the airline they may have record.

I guess you both are same and want to listen your exact desired answer

. I think the suggest ways are good alternatives and if you not want to bother then may ask your relatives/friends/family members, maybe they remember

Hmmmm...
I think there's a bit of a duplication of posts going on here too. But the sheer persistence shows the anguish of this OP.
To be fair, most of us would have a hard time recalling an exact date from 8 years ago. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, the copying and storing of evidence isn't always at the forefront of one's mind, especially when you've just moved to a new country.
If you have a rough idea, that is, the month and the year, then I think it will suffice. This, to me, isn't the deal breaker at the end of the day...the evidence supplied will be.
