Eligibility to work during transition from Tier 2 to EEA2

Hi,
I am seeking some advice on work eligibility. I have been working in the UK under Tier 2 as I am a non-EEA national. I got married to an EEA national in the UK recently. I will apply a Residence Card using form EEA2 in a few months time due to pre-planned trips. During the transition period, if I wish to change employer may I do so without the new employer being a Tier 2 sponsor? Is the marriage certificate sufficient enough to prove my eligibility to work in the UK exercising the treaty rights, or I will have to wait until I receive the resident card then I can change employer? Thank you.

After marrying EU national, you are no longer tied to one particular employer rather can work for any employer but you have to prove your right of work in form of having EEA2 RC at least having COA under this route. If your EU partner is exercising its treaty rights then you can send eea2 application and soon you will get COA to prove your right of work for employment purposes.

Thank you. Yes my partner has been working and living in the UK for more than 6 years as an EEA national.
