Hello Dear all,

I am an EU national (Bulgaria) who lives and work in UK more than 5yrs. My wife is Non-EU (Japan) national , we married a month ago in Bulgaria and after the wedding we came back to UK.

However on entry trough customs my wife didn't mention that we have married, therefore her status still remain as tourist.
Could you please give me some advice which form I need to download and send to home office in order to obtain work permit for her.

note: I forget to mention above that Japanese national are entitled to visit some countries up to 6 months

Your wife did not need to mention she was married when you entered. Even so, she is now resident as the spouse of an EU citizen and time is now accumulating towards permanent residence.

Until you get a Residence Card, when you travel, be sure to ALWAYS carry your marriage certificate.
