Hey Guys,

Can I get the eea1 applying with only EHIC but not Conprehensive sickness insurance card?

We currently don't have a UK bank account and it seems I can't pay the CSI with a French card.

It says on the forum we need a cover letter if I apply only with EHIC that I'm here temporarily, like ,' I will see how things go ?'
how long is EHIC considered to keep the eea1 status?

We will get the insurance once opened a uk account in a week or two then my partner will get the CSI then apply for eea2.

So do I really need the CSI for my EEA1?

Thank you!

I assume you are referring to a non-UK (French?) EHIC.

Why would you want to apply for EEA1 (Registration Certificate). It's not very useful for EEA nationals.

If sending EHIC, just add a note that you are moving to the UK temporarily and intended to move back back afterwards.
You can state a period in the letter. It doesn't really matter and will have no affect on future applications.
