EEA2 card application help

HI,Everyone
Me and my portuguese husband get married in UK by this year.I left UK and stay at my homecountry,making EEA family permit,then I have got it fluently.At next stage,we have to apply for EEA2 residential card.Here are my questions:
1.I am heading back home for few months,for my Univeristy job.Can I still apply for EEA2 after I return my homecountry,and send my passport back to UK,and hand to my husband for EEA2 application by postage?Or I have to live in UK currently,and then I apply for it? ps.My husband is working in UK when I intend to send him my passport and documents for EEA2.
2.I need to go back UK before I get this card possibily,and my visa status belongs to visa-free entries countries of Asia towards UK border control,in this case,can I just enter UK without EEA family permit or EEA2 card ,only with my original citizenship identity?
If anyone knows about my qestions here,please offer me your opinions,I would appreciate of it.It's quite important for my plan.
