Success after 2 years - but at what cost?

I could write a travelogue/diary of all the events and places but I wont. I will just give the points that I feel are relevant to this forum.
We entered the UK via a channel port 2 years ago without a family permit but using Surinder Singh.
After applications, refusals and delays, we had to go to appeal and we won using a) Surinder Singh b) a photocopy of our wedding certificate c) The OB case (https://tribunalsdecisions.service.gov. ... 0-ukut-420)
My advice for anyone contemplating taking on the Home Office? Get yourself a very good lawyer. Without them we would never, ever have made it.
We are happy to answer any questions readers may have.

Wow, 2 years! Why did it take so long? What were the reasons for your refusal? It might have been even longer if you'd come in under the new 'centre of life' rules - it's lucky you missed that one at least.

Thats nice to hear osopeludo, and thank you for letting the forum know te good news.

I'm sure a lot of the time people have success but as they no longer need the forum they dont log back in to say. A little bit of feedback from those who succeed will inspire other to carry on.
