Hi there!
I am a non EEA national ( A member of the EEA national). I came to the UK via a family permit. Is there any chance I can apply for it again as I dont want to apply for the Residence permit at this point?
Please advise.

The family permit can only be applied for from abroad. You would have to leave the UK and apply again through some British embassy or consulate. I'm not sure I see the point of that though.

With or without an EEA2 you are still legally resident if your EU sponsor is economically active or self-sufficient or registered as a jobseeker for maximum of 3 months after the initial residence period of 3 months. Or if your EU sponsor has started work already but lost their job, then as long as they register as a jobseeker they are legally resident for another 6 months if their job lasted less than a year. If they are legally resident, so are you.
