Hi all,

I hope you all had a nice week. I am an EEA national and my husband is a non EEA national. His residence card which was for 5 years is expiring next month so we need to apply for EEA4 now. I am very confused about the 5 years treaty rights and i dont know when it started and finished and what to write about it in the form.
I came to UK in 2006 and started work but i was not registered on WRS till 12/2007. Then I registered on WRS and started new work from 02/2008 till 10/2012.

Please help me I really need help.

Thanks in advance.

Did you register for WRS for the new work? Time before WRS doesn't count so it would be 5 years from 02/08.

Thank you jambo,

yes I registered for WRS for the new work. I would like to ask another question your help will be much appreciated. My new job which is from 02/08 to 10/12 which is about 4 years and 8 months and not 5 complete years. I am very worried about the last 4 months. Could you please give me some good advise to satisfy the HO that I exercise treaty rights for 5 years? I do not want them to make problem for me on these 4 months. Do you think showing them my bank statements would be enough to satisfy them that I was self sufficient at that time?

Thank you.
