Hi all my friend is currently on EEA2 visa which is going to finish in 2018 he is earning about 14k per anum, his wife eea national she is working part time, but still he is saying that its very hard for them to survive, pay rent, bills etc,she is claiming child benefit, tax at the moment, my question is that....
Are they allowed to claim housing benefit as a individual, I mean if they tell them they are living separate or if there is any problem with that, can they claim as mutual that they both working will they get anything ???
And will there be any problem for my friend if he applies for EEA4 once EEA2 runs out?
And what documents he will be sending to for eea4 application?

please help me with the questions

Many thanks

Your friend is 4 years away from PR, so we cannot advise you on the required documents.

The benefit will not have an issue provided the EEA national is a worker.

so will there be any problem for him in the future if his wife apply for single mother application, because with joint application they won't give them anything?
please can you give us advice regarding that.

Many thanks

Applying as a single applicant when they are living together is fraudulent and a criminal offence.
