My husband is from Italy. We got married this year and i have applied for a dependent visa. I am not sure if i am an illegal immigrant or not because i came to uk on a student visa but at the end i stopped going to the college and stayed this way for a year and half. i am not sure if they had withdraw my visa or not at that time but i had visa till this year on my passport.

now i am confused about my right to work in the uk because i didnt receive any letter from the home office regarding this matter.
am i allowed to work in the uk now? its been 6 months we got married and i told my employers about my situation and gave them all the papaers i received from the home office after applying the visa, so they are still giving me shifts. but few days ago someone told me if i have become an illegal immigrant - i dont have the right to work in the uk now.

please help! suggest me what should i do? if i dont work its going to be very hard for us stay togather because we have bills to pay!
so please . . . . if anyone knows anything about this, let us know.

thank you

What application did you submit after marrying EU national partner? What EU national partner is doing?
