First Time Jobseekers are not required to register.
Registration only apply to workers who involuntarily lost their job.
Registering is a precondition to them maintaining their workers status.

Hi Obie,
What about ppl who quit their job voluntarily?
For how long they can usually maintain worker status?

They don't maintain that status at all unless they enter into a course related to their last job.

Hello Obie,
Thanks for the answer. Please I got a question for you, where someone who has been living in uk leaves the country more than 6months (not single absence), there continuous residence is broken. If they started observing the continuous residency after that, can they use the EU law of initial 3 months of settling without conditions attached or does it only apply on single time when u ever lived in uk?
