Entering UK just using COA

Hi everyone,
Anyone ever enter UK just using COA and without marriage certificate? Long story short, the home office messed up and only sent back our passports and when I requested both passports and marriage ceritificate. There's a chance that it could still arrive this week my wife and I are both leaving on Monday next week.
