Self Employed and EEA residence card

I am currently in the UK on a family permit since my wife is an EEA national. I would like to fill out the form for a residence card but not sure what to do. The issue is that my wife is unemployed and I am self employed. Since the application for a residence card asks for proof of employment or finances (for your sponsor), what should I do?

The easiest way will be for your wife to start working as the whole thing depend on her exercising treaty right. Or you could get a comprehensive sickness Insurance for both of You and apply ticking the selfsufficient box for your wife. Mind you there is a new form with +/-120 pages! you may need to read it and try to provide document requested if selsufficient with CSI.

Thanks for letting me know about that. We'll have to see if getting employed is easier than saying we are self sufficient. I did see the new form and was amazed at how long it was. Looks like I have a bit of reading to do!
