I am about to apply for a permanent resident card as a spouse of EEA national.
The application form seems to say that I have to submit the ORIGINAL residence permit,
but I need to be able to travel abroad for work.

Would HO accept a copy of the residence permit?
In any case they must have it in their records.
Has anybody have experience with this issue?

Was it in your passport? Or on an A4 sheet?

The residence permit is on a separate piece of paper.
I am planning to send my original passport.
I have another passport for travel,
but I would not be able to come back to UK without a visa or a residence permit.
