will this affect my husbands EEA2 application? Please help

Hello,

I am EU national, my husband is NON-EU.
We received EEA1 and EEA2 resident card in 2010.

I was working from 2008-2010 then on maternity leave for 9 months. After this I stopped working for couple of years, stayed home and had another child and looked after them. Started working again in 2013 and is currently working.

My husband is working since in 2010 but his salary was low in the start so we claimed housing benefit for almost 15 months. Stopped claiming in may 2011 as my husband got higher salary.

Now his EEA2 resident card is expiring so we looked into the next step, found out that it was not possible for him to apply for EEA4 as we did not have sickness insurance (didn't know about that) and I did not work continuously for 5 years. I was told that his only alternative is to apply for EEA2 again. But now I am worried about the housing benefit we claimed.

My question is, I (the EU national) was not registered as job seeker and we claimed housing benefit, will this effect my husbands second EEA2 application?

Please can someone help me with above question?
Thanks in advance.

If you are currently working now, then your husband will be able to get an EEA2. Your past housing benefit or lack of jobseeking is not going to affect that.
