Election and its possible effects on EEA members

Hi
I have made an application for PR (EEA4) and i am hoping UKBA will decide the outcome soon however at the back of my head i am worried about the changes after the election (If there are any).
I can see people are frustrated because of immigration and they equally hate Labour (Who wants EU) or Cons, so the next choice for them is UKIP.
now we can go into morals but UKIP is pretty dirty party and known for their unfair tactics.
Whats your take on it? am i being paranoid?
