Is Derivative Residence card same as the UK residence card?

Hi All

Can you please help me clarify this dilemma-

I applied for UK residence card last month via Surinder Singh route and have received a COA. However on my COA, it actually says that I have applied for Derivative Residence Card? Is it right?

When I searched for Derivative Residence Card on the UKBA site, it refers to the caretaker of a British citizen however I did not apply under this category.

I applied as a EU family member of a British Citizen via Surinder Singh Route. Can anyone please clarify what it says on the letter is whether right or wrong?

And if it is, what do I need to do in order to rectify the category of my application?

Thanks

Directly underneath the title "CERTIFICATE OF APPLICATION" the first sentence should read, "Thank you for your application for a Residence Card". There should be no mention of a Derivative Residence Card in the letter. Perhaps you should query it with UKVI in case they have got things mixed up.
