Retention of Right after divorce from an EEA citizen

Good afternoon,
I am a Latin American individual who married a Polish citizen in 2009. In 2012 we started the divorce process and got the certificate in 2013. My EEA family permit expires on November 2015 and I wish to retain the right to remain in the UK. However, when I got divorced I did not notify HO about my marital status. How could this affect my application in the future? As for the other requirements such as being married for at least 3 years, my partner exercising rights and me being on full-time jobs since we got married, are a tick.
Could someone advise on the steps to follow?
Many thanks in advance.
