Hi

Appreciate advice on following scenario.

Me : French citizen and living in UK since Jul 2002, holding EEA blue Permanent residence card for UK.
Wife: Srilankan citizen and living in UK with me since Jan 2012, holding EAA residence card as "Family member of EEA National"
Marriage: Jul 2011

I have a job in Germany since Jan'15 and have been commuting twice a month to UK.

Can I continue with above arrangement for more than SIX months without having any effect on my wife's EEA residence permit?

Any additional advice is welcome.

Thanks

Solomon

I think that it's okay since you have PR. You cannot be absent from the UK for more than two consecutive years. Do keep proof of your entries and exits from the UK.

Hi

Appreciate if some could clarify following lines for Non EEA spouse of EEA national who has permanent residence card for UK.

https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-a-uk-resid ... dence-card

You can get permanent residence BEFORE 5 YEARS if either:

you were living with your EEA national family member, who was working or self-employed in the UK, because they’re NOW WORKING or self-employed in ANOTHER EEA STATE but are still resident and return to the UK at least once a week).

With above interpretation can the permanent residence card application be made for non eea spouse after 4 years residence in UK?

Thanks
