Living with/managing to EU national has now become a very scientific work for which relevant skills need. Departure of EU national from UK is very bad for non-eu partner and currently you can't get ILR/PR rather need to save your existing RC. It will be preferably better for you to try to detect that reason/factor which forced her to move back her own country and if you try to reverse back that reason/factor positively then she may stay here. Try to detect that reason.

I must say I am growing increasingly fond of your responses.

And OP in regards to your case, there is no prospect of ILR/PR/or Retention of Residence at this stage.
