Hi there

Please can you assist me.

I am a South African Citizen, and my husband is an Irish Citizen. We decided to move to the UK in March 2015, so I obtained a EEA Family permit. Upon arrival, I applied for a Residency card, and am still awaiting the outcome thereof. We have been living and working in the UK for about 2 months now. We recently returned back to South Africa for 10 days, and plan to return to the UK on Monday 21 June 2015. However, my EEA Family Permit has now expired.

My question is: Will I be able to re-enter the UK with my Husband? We have my husbands Irish passport, a copy of our marriage certificate, and copy of my certificate of application for the residency card. I also hold a valid US passport.

Please could you get back to me as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Sally Brennan

You can enter using your US passport, and at immigration in the UK, show whichever passport you used to apply for the RC, and proof of having applied+marriage certificate if you want to be readmitted as an EEA family member.
