Non-EU Resident Card Holder / Surinder Singh Question

Hi All, a question, if anyone can find time to help:

Background:

I am UK national, my wife Japanese (4 yrs married). We have been living in Spain for eight months and she has wife of EU Spanish resident’s card (to stay 5 years). I haven’t worked in this time, but will do two months temporary work at the end of the year. We are visiting UK in summer for three weeks and then we want to live in the UK early next year.

Questions:

1. Can she somehow use her EU resident card to get a work visa for UK (i.e. avoid or short-cut SSingh route)?
2. If we need to take SSingh route, will two months temporary work be sufficient for ‘circle of life?’ (we have rent, bank, etc)
3. Is there any way we can get a stamp at the airport (I forgot what it is called A4 or something like that – basically an equivalent to EEA1) when we visit in the summer, to go for EEA2? Anyone have info on this stamp?

All help much appreciated.
