Retain Right Query

Hi Seniors,

One of my friend got married to a European girl in 2010 and got EEA permit on March 2016. They lived together until earlier this year.

The girl was a student and my friend was working through-out his stay in UK. He has the following documents to prove the relationship.

-Driving licence.
-Banks Statements
-Health Insurance documents for last one year.
-Utility Bills
-College letters

Unfortunately, he don't have the insurance documents for the previous years and his ex isn't providing that. She never worked in UK and don't have a National Insurance number.

My friend is planning to file the retain right application based on the above documents. Can you please let me know what else is required to file a successful application?

I look forward to the advise.

Regards,
Zeeshan

What do you advise as way forward. What should we send to home office ? Is there anything we can help to increase the success chance?

Elegantly and diplomatically put.

So sorry to hear your story.

Get this straight it is not mandatory to apply for NI.
Also your application success lies on that health insurance paper work from when she becomes student.

I honestly felt for you because I don't think there's anywhere in western world an insurance policy can be backdated. But with last year you have use that to make your application and pray for miracle, hopefully you will get it.

This is not part of requirements but I have used it and it worked for me many time as am born to be kind and helpful just in any of my application to have very strong merit by get involve in your local charity around your community.

Wish you success

Any volunteers paper work letters and any training cert received from them attached it with your application and in the letter.

I prayed your case worker will be linient with you.

I really appreciate your kind words and prayers. With prayers I'm sure it will be easy and case will be a success.

My friend is planning to prepare the case and send it next month once divorce is finalised.
