EEA Appeal allowed, what next now??

I applied for confirmation of my permanent residence in July 2014, and was refused. I appeal to the first-tier tribunal fortunately my appeal was allowed and I received the letter from the court today, now I know I will to wait for at least 14 days after the date of the letter to see if the HO would appeal against the decision.

my questions are:
1. As my appeal has been allowed how do I go about getting my PR, can I do this myself or a solicitor will be needed, my current solicitor is asking for more money which is short at the moment, however I am of the opinion that my solicitor has been taking me for a ride as he submitted the initially refused application in the first place without attaching some documents, resulting to me forking out another £1,680 this is after paying £850 for the application that was refused due to lack of sufficient supporting evidence, now he is asking for another £400 to chase my PR with HO.

2. How long does this process take before I can get my PR and can i still keep my passport while i wait as I would like to travel on booked holiday with my family.

When my initial EEA4 application was refused, since the reason it was refused was based on not providing enough evidence I suggested that I make a fresh EEA4 application, but my lawyer insisted that I make an appeal despite the fact the this will be more more costly option and the appeal process ended up taking more than six months that a fresh application would have taken.

Any advise would be helpful

1. Ditch the free-rider. Who said that free-riders only come from the back of a truck?!
2. Wait for 14 days and ring the Tribunal hotline to enquiry whether HO challenged it.
3. If the answer is no, wait further 28 days for communication from the HO.
4. If none made, contact HO with the view of asking polite WTF question.

take it from there.

I assume the action unfolds in UK?! Then posting it in EEA thread would be more appropriate.

Hi,
Me and my wife won the appeal against the residence card refusal. Now the Home office has 14 days to appael against the judge's decision.
My question is, if the HO wont appeal, how long does it take to get the papers and work permit?
Thank you.
