TENANCY AGREEMENT as a proof of co-residence

Hello, this issue is recurrent but none less relevant.
I have moved and get a tenancy agreement in my name. The housing association allows for a single tenant (unless a couple). They agree to put my parents on it, only as...guarantors. In my view, this will defeat the purpose and will be against all evidence of myself supporting them. This will also bound to confuse UKBA.
Any ideas? Shall I just ignore it and go with the single name and just have all their correspondence in our new address?
