EEA RC query on non necessary documents

Hello everyone,
My non EEA husband has been in the UK with me for just over 2 months now on his EEA FP and now we are preparing to apply for his residency card.
I have filled out the application and have all the necessary documents but I was wondering about adding additional documents proving our relationship.
We have been in a relationship for over 3 years and married in April 2015 (we also married with a lawyer in April 2013). When we applied for his FP, we added all our skype, facebook conversations, pictures, family letters proving our relationship, plane tickets etc. all perfectly organised and my husband received his passport with FP back within 10 days.
Now, I haven't seen that people have been adding all this extra information for the RC. I know it is not necessary at all, but I'd just like your opinion on it, as we'd like his RC application to be approved. I know that the processing can last up to 6 months (or even more sometimes) but we do have plans to travel to my home country in December and I would just like to make sure there are no blanks left and that we satisfy all their requirements and reservations.
Has anyone who has applied for the RC for a spouse of EEA national provided documentation of proof of relationship since its beginning?
Any answers would be much appreciated as we plan to apply at the end of this week.
Thank you!
