A quick query please.
How many absences a dependent parent is allowed in a year if he or she is on 5 year EEA family permit due to being spouses dependent parent?
Some says 90 days some day 180 days so a little confusion there and a wrong advise can mess up ILR application after few years.
Your answers are very much appreciated.

Ignore my ignorance but i am trying to understand but failed.
Ok in other words if the parent is to visit out of EU to meet family for 3 months (or max 75 days) in one visit, do you think that would effect negative in later application?

Requirement of continuity is:
periods of absence from the United Kingdom which do not exceed six months in total in any year
Does anybody know how the years are counted?
Is it not more then 6 months in any period of 12 consecutive months?
Or is it only not more then 6 months in any of five 12-year periods which finish on the day one supposedly acquired permanent status?
P.S. the topic-starter seems to want to use EEA2 for temporary visits. I guess the problem here might be when they apply for new EEA2 after first 5 years. If they are absent more then 6 months some years, they can still get EEA2 again. But they will have to prove dependency or life in same household, which might be more difficult if parents do not actually live in UK.
