EEA2 do you have to have a job in the uk?

we sent my wife eea2 application off about a month ago and done our biometric, little worried about my employment status in the uk will this have a bearing on the outcome? at the moment i am working self employed for a company but have no contract to show for it only monthly income in form of bank statements as i invoice them each month, currently looking for a proper job how will this play out with the eea2 application, advise would be great

If you are back in UK after taking the
Surinder Singh route via another EU country (as I sense you have done) then, as per case law of
Eind (Case C-291/05), the 'EEA national' (ie you) does not have to be exercising treaty rights in UK.

So, if you filled in the application form appropriately &/or included a cogent accompanying cover letter to explain the circumstances of your case, then all should be good.

Hey Robster,
You don't need to have a job. We have sent my husbands eea2 application also, can I ask how much did biometric cost and how long did it take for your wife go recieve the letter for biometric
