Hello All,

I have applied for EEA(FM) Residence card (10/12/2015). Till now there is no update from Home Office.
I applied for jobs and I got my Interview successful. Now I am wondering how to tell my employer that I am eligible for work. as right now my passport and all documents are with home office. I did not get any acknowledgement from home office. and I don't have updated information. in that case please guide me what to do next so I don't loose my job and they can wait for my COA letter.

1- My previous status is EEA Dependent (got stamp on the spot) is my previous status eligible me my work status for my employer.
2- is that any guidelines EEA/EU or HOME Office documents that can support my work status that I am eligible to work according to EU/EEA rules. (if yes please send me the links).

3- any thing positive and supportive information for my future employer will be more appreciable (so he can by law allow me work)

many thanks in advance

regards

fasi

Hi fasi

Have you not received your CoA yet? I would say wait a week or two, it usually takes 10 days or so to come. If not, there is a link where you can request a new CoA. There is also a link to request your passports back (I am looking for those now, and will repost here later).

Depending on your situation, for example, if you are the spouse of an EEA national, the CoA and your passport will be enough evidence for your right to work. However, if you are the unmarried parnter, like me, you might need to wait until the actual decision of your application, that is around 5 months, which is a pain.
