Advice on Surinder Singh Route please?!

Hello,

I am currently considering using the SS route but I have a few queries if anybody is able to help please?

1) If the UK leaves the EU (which may happen as soon as June this year), would the SS route no longer be an option?

2) I am currently halfway through a degree in the UK, if I were to go down the SS route I would need to suspend my studies for 4/5/6 months depending on however long is required to prove I have transferred the "centre of my life" to whatever EEA state I relocate to. As I would only be putting my studies on hold rather than withdrawing, would this give rise to a refusal on the grounds that because I am still registered with a UK university I have not made the EEA state the "centre of my life"?

3) If one gets as far as returning to the UK with a spouse and subsequently applies for the EEA permit by completing the vaf5, I note that section 5 asks for details on finances..... Does this mean there is some sort of financial threshold which needs to be met for the application to be successful?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post, hope to hear from someone soon :-)

1) Noone can tell.
Anyway SS would still exist in rest of Europe.

2) Quite possibly.
HO plays hardball on 'centre of life'.

fyi - see this development:
eea-route-applications/non-eea-spouses- ... 35-20.html

3) No financial constraints on EU citizens exercising free movement.
